Every year on Veterans Day, we take time to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform. Their service has safeguarded the freedoms and opportunities that we often take for granted, and for that, we owe them our lasting gratitude.
At the Bond & Botes Law Offices, Veterans Day is more than just a date on the calendar. Over the past 35 years, we’ve had the privilege of sitting across the table from countless veterans—each with a story, a family, and a strong desire to get back on solid financial ground. We’ve listened as they’ve shared the pride they feel in their service, and the frustration that can come when civilian life brings unexpected challenges. For us, being able to help them find relief is an honor in itself.
Helping Veterans Find a Fresh Start
The transition from military to civilian life can be rewarding, but it’s not always easy. Sometimes a job loss, health issue, or unexpected expense can cause financial stress that feels impossible to manage. Many veterans try to shoulder those burdens quietly, thinking they need to face them alone. But asking for help doesn’t erase the strength or discipline learned through service—it’s simply the next right step forward.
Our attorneys have spent decades helping veterans and their families find peace of mind through Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, debt relief, and credit rebuilding. We understand that every situation is different, and we take the time to listen. Our goal is always the same: to help people who have served this country rebuild their financial stability and regain hope for the future.
A Salute to Our Own Veterans
We are especially proud to have veterans within our own ranks. Ron Sykstus, one of our longtime partners, served as a U.S. Army attorney and continues to serve those who serve by representing clients nationwide in security clearance matters. Ron’s background gives him a deep understanding of the unique financial and professional challenges many veterans face—and a strong desire to help them overcome those obstacles with dignity and confidence.
Free, Confidential Help for Veterans
If you or a loved one has served in the military and is now struggling with debt, facing foreclosure, or worried about losing a vehicle, please know that help is available. We offer a free and completely confidential consultation—by phone, video, or in person—to talk through your options and help you move toward a fresh start.
This Veterans Day, all of us at Bond & Botes want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the men and women who have served, and to the families who have stood beside them. You’ve done your part for our country. If you ever need us, we’re here to do ours for you.
