You Are Not Alone — meet the newest attorney serving our Gadsden and Anniston clients

We’re delighted to introduce — and warmly welcome — Malea Higdon, who joins Bond & Botes as an associate attorney serving individuals and families from our Gadsden and Anniston, Alabama offices.

Malea focuses her practice on consumer bankruptcy, helping people who feel buried by debt find real relief — whether that’s a fresh start through the bankruptcy court or standing between a client and the collectors calling them in state court. An Alabama native, she brings more than a decade of courtroom experience across Alabama and Mississippi, and a deep understanding of how the other side builds its case — knowledge she now puts to work protecting the people who need it most.

But ask Malea what she loves about the work, and she won’t talk about courtrooms:

“I love hearing the relief in someone’s voice when they first learn how we can help. So many of the people who come to us are worn down — they haven’t slept in weeks because of the constant collection calls. When they finally have a plan, you can see the whole change in them, like they can breathe again. Being part of that is the most rewarding part of my job.”
