Secret Waiting List for Veterans Awaiting Medical Care

Attorney Ronald SykstusIn news that should both distress and outrage veterans and their families, CNN has uncovered a secret waiting list in Phoenix Arizona for veterans awaiting urgent medical care.

CNN is reporting that at least 40 U.S. veterans died waiting for appointments at the Phoenix Veterans Affairs Health Care system, many of whom were placed on a secret waiting list.

The secret list was allegedly part of an elaborate scheme designed by Veterans Affairs managers in Phoenix who were trying to hide the fact that 1,400 to 1,600 sick veterans were forced to wait months to see a doctor, according to a recently retired top VA doctor and several high-level sources.

This is not how veterans in our country should be treated.  If you or your veteran family member is in need of urgent VA medical care, our advice is to contact the VA daily and insist on the treatment until you get it. If you served your country honorably, this is the least that our country owes to you.

In what may be some good news to veterans in North Alabama, it was recently announced that a VA outpatient medical clinic will be built in Huntsville and construction has already started.

Our law firm handles VA disability claims. If you have been denied your claim at any stage in the process, either at the regional office or the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, please contact us so that we can see if we can assist you in your attempt to get your VA disability claim. To all veterans, we thank you for your service to our country.
