This week we’ll be discussing another sensitive topic, but one that merits addressing: the plight of the homeless population in our communities. COVID has without a doubt made the experience of being homeless even more difficult, and frighteningly, the financial fallout of the virus could see more people finding themselves in similar situations.

Our guest for this week’s episode is Anne Wright Rygiel, Executive Director of Firehouse Ministries in Birmingham, Alabama. Anne will be discussing with us the types of programs Firehouse Ministries and the Firehouse Shelter provide, how demand for their services has been impacted by COVID, and how the way we care for the homeless has shifted over the course of the virus’ duration.
